Children’s friendships are sources of both joy and pain, not only for children, but for parents as well. Developing and keeping friends is essential to a child’s sense of well-being. This program gives parents practical techniques to help their children develop vital friendship-building skills. By helping youngsters improve their social skills, parents give them the tools to build and maintain healthy friendships. This program demonstrates “ice-breakers” that show children how to: enter new social situations, develop conflict resolution skills, stand up for themselves, and develop attitudes and behaviors that enhance resilence.
