The Constructive World of Advanced Spanish.
The DVD Super Pack contains Modules 1 through 8:
1. Reviewing the Basics- The Standard Deviants start things out on the right foot with a review of Spanish basics. You'll also find out what "loners" and "dionza" have to do with the gender of nouns, and how to use demonstrative adjectives properly.
2. It's verbs - irregular verbs that is! The Standard Deviants introduce you to three classics of the genre - "yo" verbs, which include the three amigos "hacer", "valer", and "salir"; stem-change verbs, which include the quirky "querer" and the tenacious "tener"; and finally, Bizarro verbs, which include the utterly insane and zany "ir" and "ser".
3. Verb Tenses - The Standard Deviants check out two new verb tenses: The present progressive tense and the "easy" future tense. Plus, they'll answer such burning questions as: Will Ferdinand defeat the dinosaurs? Will the two Crazy Ladies succeed in making the pasta surprise.
4. Spanish Prepositions - The Standard Deviants teach you all about prepositions - words like "above", "below", "under", and "over". They'll also throw in an introduction to object pronouns, lots of cool dancing, and some great moments in the history of Spanish.
5. Modal and Reflexive Verbs - The Standard Deviants scout out more Spanish verbs with the help of Denito, Ferdinand and the Translator 2000! The Standard Deviants also discuss modal verbs, the reflexive, and check in on the antics of those two Crazy Ladies.
6. The Preterit and Perfect Tenses- The Standard Deviants drop in on their old buddy Denito for a discussion of the perplexing preterite. Next in the lineup are the imperfect tense and the present perfect tense, brought to you by the Chupacabra Hunter, Carmen and Diego, and a man who really knows how to sing.
7. Subjunctive and Formal Commands - The Standard Deviants teach you the subjunctive - how to form it, how to use it, and how to make it obey your every command. Speaking of commands, they'll also demonstrate the proper use of formal commands, go shopping with Denito and round up the troops for a big cookie sale.
8. Informal Commands and Future Tense - The Standard Deviants formally introduce you to informal commands and the future tense. You'll find out whether or not Ferdinand and Sofia will defeat the dinosaurs, if Denito finally figures out what time it is, and what those two Crazy Ladies are going to do next. |
