Help teens develop a healthy self-concept that will encourage them to set challenging goals, enable them to forge supportive, positive friendships, and assist them in developing an optimistic outlook about their lives and futures.

From hanging out with kids they really don't like just to fit in, to losing sight of what is right for them, to letting the interests of others overshadow their personal goals, real-life dramatizations help teens recognize that being true to themselves is a large part of a healthy self-concept.

Students will understand that their daily choices affect the way they feel about themselves, see positive risk-taking as essential to reaching goals, recognize that their friends can affect the choices they make for themselves, and identify goal setting as part of developing a healthy self-concept.
